Mobility OS

Safety intervention and control authority across mobility environments.

Movement changes the safety question.

A vehicle may encounter a new route condition, operating boundary, or request to hand control between people and automated systems. A prior travel decision does not answer every new situation.

Authority for the journey.

Mobility OS describes a public role for evaluating when to intervene, who has control authority, and how a consequential operating decision can remain reviewable across modes of travel.

Where the concept applies

Ground mobility: changing road or site conditions call for a clear intervention decision. Air mobility: route, environment, and control handoff are part of the safety context. Maritime and underwater mobility: remote operation and changing conditions create related authority questions. The conceptual scope also considers space mobility without implying mission use or qualification.

Mobility OS addresses vehicles and travel conditions; Robot OS addresses a robot's task and immediate operating context. IronSwarm concerns cooperation when multiple autonomous systems work together.
